While Season 12 had to contend with airing during a pandemic, Season 13 also faced producing a season in a pandemic. Production’s position was unenviable, but the team behind Drag Race still turned out an entertaining run of episodes. Perhaps too many, in fact; Season 13 clocks in as the longest regular season since Season 3 with 16 episodes, and only 13 queens. Too many non-elimination weeks led to a sense of fatigue, as did the eliminations of fan favorite queens like Tamisha Iman, Denali, and Utica Queen. In the end, it was Symone, Gottmik, Rosé, and Kandy Muse who made it to season’s end, and Symone who triumphed with the crown.
