Can a season be more than its finale? That’s the question that plagues All Stars 3, which has some great episodes (in particular “The Bitchelor”) and moments (Jungle Kitty!), but largely falters thanks to its jury twist. Letting the eliminated queens vote on which two finalists should move on to lip sync for the win robbed frontrunner Shangela of her chance at the crown, and thus effectively guaranteed a Trixie Mattel victory. Truth be told, the season had problems before, including a terrible top five acting challenge and BenDeLaCreme’s choice to quit rather than complete the season. But the jury twist was too much to come back from, and sunk All Stars 3 to the bottom of many a fan’s season rankings.
